I received an invitation to visit the city of brotherly love.

Made a stop at Love Park.

And hopped around town a bit.

And enjoyed a change of scenery.

It was refreshing!

My friend who invited me insisted on capturing my journey.

My brother, Vincent, a NY native, showed me that good, Philly brotherly love. Isn’t it crazy how much we look alike and we’re not even blood? He’s been looking out for me since he invited me to speak in Syracuse at the Girls Rock Luncheon back in 2013. We still laugh about how I spoke for two hours. Who does that?!

Every good and perfect gift comes from above. James 1:17

And I did get to see the Rocky stairs, but I didn’t climb them. And no picture by them either. Maybe next time, right?

You have to take a shot by the LOVE letters when you’re in Philadelphia.

I enjoyed my time in Philly!

We checked out Painting with a Twist in New Jersey too. I had a blast! Vincent is the co-founder of Black Male Educators Convening (BMEC). If you are a Black male educator, or if you know one, be sure to find out more information on how to get involved here: https://www.facebook.com/The-Fellowship-1487395214894454/.

On my last night, we dined at R2L on the 37th floor of Two Liberty Place. One thing that I was reminded of on this trip is the importance of treasuring every relationship. Take nothing for granted and listen, learn from, and treasure your brothers. They’re pricelss!
Awesome!
