Dear Young, Old, and Somewhere In Between Traveler,

Dear Young, Old, and Somewhere In Between Traveler,

I took my first trip abroad at 26. I had the wacky, crazy goal to see all seven continents by 30. And it actually happened.

snow angel

Once I got to Antarctica, I promised myself that I would make a snow angel.

A stroke tripped me up in 2007.  I graduated from college four years “late” in 2011. Yet, I arrived in Antarctica in 2015 at the age of 29.

The roadblocks came. The tests came. Removing and replacing these words helped me in a major way:

“I wish I could do that.” changed to “How can I do that?” <– Yesterday’s PERISCOPE!

Wherever you are and whatever you’re challenged with, I’m here to tell you that it can be done. You can overcome. Surrender. Believe.  All things ARE possible. Asking “how” is the best way to start.

My first trip abroad was in 2011 and my goal was accomplished in 2015. All. Seven. Continents. By. 30.

Jumping in Cairo

My tour guide said to leap. I just did what I was told.

What will WE be capable of when we CRUSH the words “I wish I could do that.” and begin to CRAVE the ANSWER to the question, “How can I do that?”

One of my greatest honors thus far is being featured on Yahoo! Finance! (TODAY!) Click the link to take a peek into a bit more of my story.

I love sharing my journey at organizations, schools, and churches. If you’d like to book me to come speak at your event, shoot me an email!  karissa@sevenby30.com. I’d love to hear from you!

Honored to travel with you,

Matthew 19:26 (The Message) Jesus looked hard at them and said, “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself.  Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.”

P. S. I’m writing a couple of books that I look forward to sharing with you this spring and summer. Stay tuned and please click “Follow” to stay part of this adventure.

I loved teaching my “Small Stars” at English First in Hangzhou, China.

  1. To my little sister, I am so godly proud of what you have accomplished in your youth (before 30). You have done things that some can only imagine and hope. I know that whatever God has instored for you GO AHEAD AND WALK THROUGH THOSE DOORS SIS!!!! I Love you very much!
