As many of you know, I sailed off for Antarctica a month ago. On March 25, 2015, I got on the Ushuaia MV and set sail for Antarctica. My port city was Ushuaia, Argentina. The pictures begin in Ushuaia. What you’re getting ready to see is my journey along the way. My goal of seeing all seven continents by my 30th birthday has been reached, finished, accomplished, and yes, fulfilled. Thanks for your support along the way. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so enjoy this visual essay.
The French Biologist/Educator/Angel
This kind man was a blessing to me while I was in Ushuaia, Argentina. He’s a French biologist and had just returned from Antarctica. Upon his return, he stayed in my hostel and gave me his pants and jacket for my upcoming trip to the seventh continent. Then he bought this journal for me for my adventure. Such a kind man!
I shared this cabin with two other ladies. One was from Israel and the other was from Oklahoma.
I tried to learn the game, but I just couldn’t grasp it. Watching them play while listening to gospel music was enough for me.

Wow Karissa those pictures are breathtaking!! To say I’m proud of you is a complete understatement!! From our small beginnings as siblings I never expected this from you..because in my heart of hearts I wanted you to just disappear!!! Lol you were a pest at times, so many times! Lol but God turned it! Lol he turned your traits of a Pest into persistence lol haha no but foreal, You said it & with proper preparation & prayer God walked you through it.
